location/weather check (preliminary task 2)
location:
For the location I have decided to go with my house as it's easier for me to get a vision for the film. It's also easier for us as we don't have to make sure it's available. I also know where everything is and know where power sources are for lighting so it will make for a very efficient and effective shoot. I will be making sure that my family are not here the night we film so that we're not in anybodies way. We wanted a typical looking house but one that also looked scary enough that it would be uncomfortable being alone in at night.
This is the bedroom in which Lily and Ryle will walk up to. It's a very warm and welcoming room which is perfect as it contradicts the sinister deed that will occur. You would think you may feel safe in this room but that turns out not to be the case for Lily.
This is the window in which we will film that shot of the curtain blowing in the wind which is almost the signal that Lily is missing. Although the curtain is actually blowing in the other direction I know it is possible to potentially set up a fan on the other side and get the shot we envisioned.
This a shot of the entryway in which Ryle will walk through. Through lighting I will explain how I experiment with the different lighting to get that perfect low lighting eerie feeling.
This is the kitchen you will see Lily making her tea in. I went outside and tried getting different shots of how it would look like and shots we would potentially use to show that POV of the kidnapper. Once again I will try to experiment with the lighting. I will also clean up the bench area slightly but we also want to make it realistic as this is a scenario that could potentially occur.
weather:
I have checked the weather for the 12th and it does say periods of rain but this could very easily change. I can't get a prediction for the weather on the 19th but the rain is of no worry as majority of our shots will occur inside. We also have covers outside that can extend far enough to cover us or any equipment if it were to rain.
